Set a custom homepage in Internet Explorer and prevent changes to it
If you share your computer with someone else and you don't want your Internet Explorer homepage to be changed - by someone or maybe other software - this is how you can do it.
If you don't have the Run command in your Vista Start Menu you can add it by following this tutorial. Meanwhile you can press the "Win key + R" combination and the Run command will pop! :)
Type in "gpedit.msc", then navigate to "User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer".
