In Windows 7 there's a new shortcut available in Windows Explorer: the Library. That contains your documents, your pictures, videos and others. This is how you can customize the icons, how you can replace them with your own. The location where you need to go is:
"C:\Users\YOUR-USERNAME-HERE\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Libraries"
