This how you can accelerate any application by setting it's priority.

In this example we used Notepad, but you can do it for any application.

Tips: you can lower priority for applications that just sits in the background and raise the priority for those that you need.

This also works in Windows Vista.

You can feel a slight improvement of your computer if you use boot time defragmentation. We are sorry about the video quality, but as you can well guess, it's not one of ours.

You can really make a difference by disabling some unuseful display effects. As you can see in the video you can disable all visual effects (this will make your computer look like the old Windows 98, but it will move ALOT faster!), but if you enable those five things your windows will look the same as before, with improved speed (nice effects - better speed).

This works only if you get automatic IP settings, not if you put them manually. The file from the video can be saved anywhere you want. Safe browsing! :)

These are two ways you can disable the Automatic Update feature. We strongly recommend you enable it at least once a month, but apart from that by disabling the service you will remove that hang time when Windows just booted, as well as system performance in general.
